Batasiolo's 2000 Riserva is a great value for money and an exquisite Barolo that is full of layers and nuances and ready to drink. The vineyards of Beni di Batasiolo comprise 336 acres in the heart of Piedmont, now tended by the Dogliani brothers. Made from Nebbiolo grapes grown in their vineyards on the hills of Serralunga d'Alba, this wine was aged for five years in barrels and in the bottle to attain perfect balance before release. With plenty of fruit, the wine is generous and integrated with great length. It's not as dry or as tannic as many Barolos, which makes it more approachable.
