Coming from a north-facing vineyard literally across the road from the Clarendon Vineyard Grenache site, with vines planted in the 1920s, this flavorful wine offers great depth and structure. It has a deep purple color and earth and leather aromas mixed with touches of spice and ripe plum. It delivers interesting, concentrated flavors of dark berries, raspberry, white pepper, earth, spice and plum. The finish is quite earthy yet attractive with tamed tannins due to the vintage.
