Accornero 97 Barbera Batista 750 ml
From the great 1997 vintage in Piedmont comes this well crafted, balanced, traditional and earthy Barbera produced by Accornero. Bricco Battista was neither filtered nor cold stabilized. The aging process took place in 80% new French oak barriques for 14 to 18 months, followed by a resting period of six months in the bottle before release. The resulting wine is fragrant, ripe and elegant, with a great structure. A bit of age brought the tannins down yet the acidity allowed this wine to remain alive even after ten years in the bottle.
