Angelo Rocca is known as one of the most delightful and upbeat producers in all Piedmont. This single-vineyard Barbaresco is a great, concentrated wine from a very good vintage produced by a great winemaker. Rocca's viticultural practices are strict, with organic methods and careful attention to every step of the grape-growing and vinification processes. Very low yield results in remarkable concentration, with deep garnet red color, the Brich Ronchi has an intense nose packed with fruity aromas of cherry and blackberry, layered with toasted notes and sweet spices. Rich, soft, and quite fresh on the palate, it has fine tannins and good length. The twenty months ageing in French oak barrels brought great structure and complexity.
