One of the most prominent and established Rhône producers, Guigal owns vineyards in Condrieu and in Côte-Rôtie with illustrious plots producing wines that have become flagships of their appellations. Produced from 25-year-old vines planted on limestone-clay soils, "La Landonne" is a 100% Syrah from the illustrious single vineyard of the same name. Aged for 42 months in new oak, it is one of the most stunning Cote-Rôties on the market; it shows small black fruits, licorice, roasted notes and Oriental spices on the nose. The expressive palate is powerful with critical tannic structure, rich and concentrated and terroir-oriented. It shows the potential for ageing for up to 35 years.
