One of the most prominent and established Rhône producers, Guigal owns vineyards in Condrieu and in Côte-Rôtie with illustrious plots producing wines that have become flagships of their appellations. Produced from 75-year-old terraced vines, "La Mouline" is a blend of 89% Syrah and 11% Viognier wine from the illustrious single vineyard of the same name. Aged for 42 months in new oak, it is one of the most stunning Côte-Rôties on the market; it shows small red fruits and blackberry and floral violet aromas on the nose. The expressive palate is supple with balance between the finesse of the aromas and an explosive richness due to the concentration of the wine. "La Mouline" has a voluptuously silky texture and intense aromas. It shows great ageing potential for up to twenty years.
