Crafted by Drew Noon of McLaren Vale's Noon winery, this Grenache - Syrah based wine is a fine example of what Australia has to offer. Medium-deep red in color, it is aromatically very expressive, with sweet ripe blackcurrants, kirsch and licorice in abundance, along with notes of wild herbs, earth and pepper. The palate is nuanced, intriguingly complex and attractive, possessing plenty of depth of flavor with a long, well balanced finish. Quite complex and refined, more refined and quite characteristic to the 2006 vintage in McLaren Vale which was less opulent and ripe yet more balanced than the 2005.
