Cavallotto 03 Barolo Bricco Bosch 750 ml
The Cavallotto family claims sole ownership of the beautiful Bricco Boschis vineyard in the Castiglione Falletto district, where they have been growing Nebbiolo since 1929 and bottling their own wine since 1948. This wine is fermented in steel vats, with maceration on the skins for 20 days; it is then aged in Slavonian oak casks of various capacities for three years and six months. The 2003 vintage has a ruby red color at the core with slight garnet reflections and an ethereal nose, with powerful aromas of dried fruit, jam, licorice, and violet. A rich, full-bodied wine, it is warm and quite soft, with evident but ripe and sweet tannins. This Barolo would pair well with red meat, typical cheeses, or game dishes.
