This red wine is a blend of Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes. After pressing, it was stored for 16 months in barriques of French oak; it was then bottled and stored for further six months before release. Gagliole is a classic, well structured and balanced red with dense, sweet tannins. The 1997 vintage received very good accolades from the press. The wine is now fully mature, with beautiful tertiary aromas and flavors.
