Emilio Moro 05 Malleolus Ribera D 750 ml
Although the vineyard was planted in 1932, wine bottled under the Emilio Moro label dates only from 1989. The Latin word "Malleolus" means "Majuelo" in Spanish, a local term used to describe the vineyards in Pesquera de Duero. The wine was crafted from 25-75 years old vines. It is full of smoky, leathery, and woody flavors, supported by subtle floral, blueberry and blackberry notes. The complexity is rich and round in the mouth with a pleasantly long finish.
