Tenute Dettori is one of the leading wineries in Sardinia, not by its size but the quality of its wines. Oenologis, Francesco Saverio Petrilli crafts beautiful and expressive wines from the indigenous grape Cannonau di Sardegna from vineyards planted in the area of Romangia. The vines, planted on calcareous soils at an altitude of 750 feet, benefit from a northwest orientation that allows the grapes to retain acidity, an important and essential factor for the balance of the wine, especially with the hot Sardinian climate. Only 5000 bottles of the Tenores were produced. The wine has brilliant ruby red color, with a nose that gives intense aromas of small fruits and eucalyptus. It is dry, full-bodied, warm and aromatic.
