Mas Mallola is somewhat a second wine of Clos Abella, a property that very much embodies the essence of Porrera, one of the main areas surrounding the village of the same name in Priorat. The Mas Mallola is a blend of 45% Garnatxa and 40% Carineña completed with Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah. The vines are more than thirty years old. The wine, aged for 18 months in cement tanks and French oak barrels, is rich and intensely flavorful. The palate offers a lot of fruit, stony minerality, earth and spice. It is full of juicy berry flavors with added complexity from black cherry and spice notes. Modern in style, this wine is full flavored and perfect for barbeques, anything grilled or with blackened spices.
