The Giovanni Manzone estate, located in Monforte d'Alba, is a small family-run property entirely planted to vineyard. Made from 100% Nebbiolo and aged for 24 months in French oak, the 2004 "Le Gramolere" is an elegant Barolo showing deep aromas of pure red fruit, flowers and tobacco with hints of earth and leather. Full bodied yet delicate in the mouth, it has ripe fruit flavors that are complemented by notes of pepper and licorice which last into a long, sweet finish. This is a structured, balanced wine that shows intense fruit, minerality and great aging potential.
