Termanthia is the highly sought after, complex and full-bodied flagship of Bodega Numanthia Termes in the region of Toro. Crafted with 100% Tempranillo, locally called "Tinto de Toro," Termanthia is a huge, concentrated, and fruit-forward wine backed up by a lot of earthy tannins. It has a deep ruby red color with aromas of cassis, blackberry, cedar, spice, coffee, and mineral notes. The palate is full-bodied with moderate acidity and firm tannins. Aged for more than 20 months in French oak barrels, it offers opulent flavors of blackberry, black currant, chocolate, spice, and toasty oak. Powerful, layered and complex, it will reward cellaring for another 10-12 years. It is rich and intense on the long finish.
