Over the last few vintages, El Nido has become an icon from Jumilla and an example of modern Spanish winemaking trends. The 2006 El Nido is a blend of 70% Cabernet Sauvignon and 30% Monastrell aged for 26 months in new oak. Ultra-rich, opulent, dense and concentrated, this wine is a fruit bomb with good balance, firm tannic structure, ripe dark fruit, spice and a long finish. Bodegas El Nido employs Australian vigneron Chris Ringland as its winemaking consultant.
