Spiropoulos 09 Mantinia 750 ml
The Spiropoulos family has been closely associated with winemaking since the 1860s; since 1993 they have also pioneered in the use of organic viticulture practices in the Peloponnese. The Mantinia, named for the plateau on which the winery is located, is a dry white made 100% from the native grape Moschofilero. The wine is intense but elegant, with classic varietal aromas of rose petals, apple, peach, and pear. On the palate it is crisp and dry with a balanced but refreshing acidity and a long, intense finish. This wine is a good choice for fairly highly seasoned seafood preparations.
