The Clement Estate on the island of Martinique enjoys a longstanding tradition of making natural rum through the distilling of pure sugar cane; they produce a wide variety of white rums, all certified with the Appellation d'Origine Controlée Martinique and made according to the time-honored methods of their founder. The Cuvée Homère is a hand-selected blend of vintage rums (currently 1999, 1996, and 1991) aged in both French Limousin and American oak; it has a highly nuanced texture and flavor and drinks like a fine Cognac.
