Crafting wines for the past 700 years, Frescobaldi is one of Tuscany's biggest producers, combining tradition with innovation. Castelgiocondo Brunello di Montalcino DOCG was produced from a rigorous selection of the best clusters from more than 375 acres of vineyard. This wine was aged for four years, at least two in Slavonian oak casks and in French oak barrels with an additional four months in bottle. The bouquet is rich, opening with scents of mint and ripe fruit which lead into spicier notes of coffee at the finish. The entry on the palate reveals perfectly integrated tannins complemented by a good but not excessive alcohol level and a well-balanced acidity. The finish is long and persistent.
