Still owned entirely by the del Pedregal family, Vina Carta Vieja dates from 1825, when Carlos Adolfo del Pedregal arrived in Chile from the Asturias region of Spain and planted his first vineyards. Today young winemaker Hector Saldivia focuses on producing wines of great quality in a modern style, fruity and easy to drink with an intense varietal expression; his Sauvignon Blanc is fresh and clean, herbaceous, with great balance and texture and a long, tasty finish.
