Family-owned Pierre Frapin is a rarity among Cognac producers, one of few great names in world-class Cognac to own its own vineyards. Frapin's 741-acre domain, which includes 494 acres of prime Grande Champagne vineyard, took the Frapin family five centuries to amass. The average barrel age of this bottling is ten to twelve years from the date of harvest; it shows honey, spice, and a touch of vanilla in the nose, all of which which carry through on the palate. This is an elegant, rounded and well balanced Cognac.
