Located in South Africa's Paarl region, Joostenberg was bought by Philippus Albertus Myburgh in 1879 and ownership has remained in the Myburgh family since then. The Myburghs have been farming on Joostenberg for five generations, with the fifth generation represented by Tyrrel in charge of production and his brother and sister Philip and Annette in charge of marketing. The "Little J" line of wines is specifically designed to match the hearty bistro-style food served at the winery restaurant. This red is a blend of 81% Shiraz, 10.5% Cinsault, 6.5% Mourvedre, and 2% Viognier, made in a soft, fruit-forward style.
