Santa Sofia 08 Valpolicella Classico
This winery takes its name from the stunning sixteenth-century villa designed by the brilliant architect, Andrea Palladio; the villa was never finished, and only the facade, part of the manor house, and the western side building, where the winery is llocated, can be seen today. The Bagnoni family took possession of the winery in the 1960s and began production of Valpolicella, Recioto, and Amarone. The Valpolicella Classico is a blend of Corvina, Rondinella and Molinara; velvety, smooth and harmonious, it has an intense bouquet bursting with personality.
