Cederberg Private Cellar is South Africa's most uniquely situated winery; it is located within the pristine environs of the Cederberg Wilderness Area, which lies in the Cape Floral Kingdom, and here, among spectacular rock formations and fynbos, you will find the highest altitude vineyards in the Cape. Cederberg Wine is owned by The Nieuwouldt family who have been farming for five generation since 1893. Cederberg Private Cellar produces six different ranges of wines, first among them Cederberg, which includes its signature Bukettraube, a grape that is thought to have been brought to the Cape from Alsace some time in the 19th century. This is a well balanced wine with an exotic yet delicate character, laced with a crisp acidity; expressive floral aromas with hints of dried mango, apricots and honey blend to form an alluring character.
