Founded in 1972 by the Wagners on the family's Rutherford property, Caymus has made Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon every year since and now focuses entirely on this variety. The 2006 is a near-perfect representation of Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, offering strong aromas of cherries, vanilla and plum with deep, delicious notes of chocolate and licorice. This is a big wine with an excellent finish that lingers on the tongue. Enjoyable now, this wine is just beginning to hit its stride.
