Ken Forrester 10 Petit Pinotage
Scholtzenhof is one of the oldest wine farms in the Cape region of South Africa, dating from 1689; having fallen on somewhat hard times in the latter years of the last century, it was brought back to life in the 1990s by the Forrester family. The wines in their "Petit" range are all made from negotiant fruit, specifically sourced to suit a fruit forward profile, to offer soft, instantly pleasing everyday drinking wines; this is classic Pinotage, with aromas of spicy mulberries, plum pudding and cherries, supported by smoky bacon nuances, juicy and accessible with soft palate and delicious fruit concentration.
