This is the second wine of Chateau d'Issan, a property (and a wine) with an illustrious history. Blason in this vintage is a blend of 60% Cabernet and 40% Merlot, a very good second wine on the elegant side of the spectrum. It is well polished, juicy yet quite reserved in character, with ripe tannins that provide good character and sit very well with the fruit.
