Pittnauer 08 Blaufrankisch
Weingut Pittnauer, run by the young couple Brigit and Gerhard Pittnauer, is located in the wine region of Neusiedlersee; here the special microclimate of the district is characterized by Austria's longest hours of sunlight, high humidity and moderate temperatures influenced by the large, shallow lake, the Neusiedlersee. Blaufränkisch is Austria's second most important red grape after Zweigelt, and highly successful in the Burgenland. This version has the aromatics of cherry liqueur, its vibrant black cherry character offset by well-judged oak. Supple and aromatic, this is a fresh and classy red.
