The Misfits Wine Company in South Australia, the joint project of three young winemakers, is anything but conventional; their wines, both in terms of what's inside the bottle and what the package looks like, are downright "in your face." "Brujeria" is the Spanish word for witchcraft, and this is indeed a witches' brew: a blend of Tempranillo, Grenache, Shiraz and Cab from low-yielding vineyards, each lot vinified separately, with portions of the blend oak-aged for up to thirteen months, this is a rich, spicy, deliciously drinkable red, and not (in spite of the label) at all scary.
