Causse Marines 10 Les Peyrouzelles Red
This wine, made by Virginie Maignien and Patrice Lescarret of Domaine de Causse Marines, is an unusual blend of several international grapes and other varietals native to the region of Gaillac, Braucal, Syrah, Duras, Alicante, Prunelard, and Jurançon. The couple purchased the domaine in 1993 and now own some 38 acres of vineyard stretching across both the Marcillac and Gaillac AOCs, all of which they farm biodynamically. This is an all-stainless-steel red with lovely red berry aromas, a peppery-spicy character, fruity and fresh on the palate with a superb finish.
