Kesseler 01 Spatburgunder Rudesheim
This estate originated as the coop of the town of Assmanshausen; it was taken over in 1924 by Josef Kesseler and is today run by his grandson August. This is a single-vineyard Pinot Noir with enticing, complex aromas of red berries, blueberries, cherries and some mineral notes. Clean and juicy in the mouth, with lively acidity and lots of red berry fruit, the wine is still very youthful, with firm structure, mineral notes on the palate, excellent balance, and a long finish.
