Chateau Aimée is a small, quality-driven estate, a far cry from the co-ops and bulk producers that make most of the wines in Bas-Medoc. The wine, in this vintage, is a 60/40 blend of Merlot and Cabernet; juicy, fragrant, and well structured, it shows fresh black fruits and bell pepper on the nose, while on the palate there are minerals, plums, and blackberries.
