Angel's Envy Bourbon
Angel's Envy begins with Kentucky, using only mineral-rich Kentucky lime stone water and locally sourced grains. From there, Lincoln Henderson personally oversees every step of the process, guiding each batch's distilling, aging and conditioning. After distilling, Angel's Envy is placed in hand-selected American white oak barrels for a minimum of four years. Once the bourbon is tasted by Mr. Henderson and deemed ready, it's placed in Port wine barrels he personally selects from Portugal. The barrels are then hand-situated throughout the distillery to age at the perfect temperature. This final process takes between three to six months. It may seem strange that the aging and finishing processes can vary in time. Angel's Envy considers every barrel to be unique. Each batch is hand-chosen based on flavor and appearance. Mr. Henderson insists upon a very specific color and caramel flavor with subtle vanilla notes. Finally, the finished bourbon is blended by Mr. Henderson to reach its distinctive taste profile. The port cask process imbues Angel's Envy with rich and robust aromas, caramelized fruits, chocolates and a smoky undertone.
