Former honey maker Eric Pfifferling inherited ten acres of vineyard land in Tavel in 1988; he subsequently almost doubled his acreage and has been bottling his own wines since 2003. The vineyards are certified "agriculture biologique." His "Vejade," sourced from his vineyards near Tavel, is a blend of Mourvedre and Grenache, sweetly spiced, with an exotic nose and a savory edge . . . A lovely accompaniment to a savory pot roast or braised meat of any kind.
