Bodegas Nekeas is situated in the valley of Valdizarbe, the northernmost wine growing district of Navarra. Although the valley has always been considered one of the best areas of production in Navarra, and viticulture there is centuries-old (proof of that are documents from the 15th century found in Añorbe), viticulture almost disappeared due to the depressed prices of the grapes and extreme weather conditions. This winery is one of the first ones to bring back the vineyards to the valley. Cepa por Cepa is a younger and more fruit forward expression of the most Atlantic Garnacha in Spain, sourced from extremely old clones and vineyards; feremented in stainless steel and aged only three months in neutral French oak, this is a fruit-forward, fresh, mineral and elegant red.
