Acinum - Amarone della Valpolicella 2021 (750ml)
New York-based Vias Imports, which boasts a portfolio of more than 90 wineries, was founded in 1983. One of the three co-founders of the company, Fabrizio Pedrolli, remains chairman of the company, and it is Pedrolli who is the guiding spirit behind the Acinum brand. Acinum is a proprietary line established through Vias producing wines from northeastern Italy specifically to benefit the Vias portfolio: there is a Prosecco, a Soave, a Valpolicella, a Ripasso, and this Amarone. This Amarone is the usual blend of Corvina, Rondinella and Molinara, made in the traditional manner; and aged in French oak for two years; it has an ethereal nose of peach blossoms and violets and is intense and refined on the palate, full-bodied and smooth, with obvious notes of dried grapes.
