Adèle Rouzé is in her mid-thirties and a certified agricultural appraiser. She's the daughter of Jacques Rouzé, a well-respected vigneron who is also the president of the Quincy wine brotherhood. After completing additional studies in winemaking in Bordeaux, Adèle returned home with the idea of making her own cuvée. Jacques allowed her parts of some old-vine parcels, all of which face either south or southeast, and with the help of her brother Come she began to build her domaine. With roughly 12 acres of vines, some of which were planted between 1920 and 1930, her production is small, but this is classic Loire Sauvignon Blanc, with aromas of citrus and freshly cut herbs and more citrus on the palate, with a crisp, minerally finish.
