Established in 1850, the Alain Geoffroy estate is a family business farming some 112 acres, making this the fifth-largest estate in Chablis. Geoffroy is a fervent defender of the region’s winemaking heritage and is committed to producing Chablis wines that respect the typical soils, fresh and fruity wines with a fine mineral hint, all this emphasized by the estate’s focus on the use of stainless steel for ageing the wines (only those designated “vielles vignes” see oak). This is a fresh, accessible Chablis characterized by a pale lemon color, bright acidity, and mineral-driven notes of citrus, white flowers, and green apple.
