Antico Fuoco is an historic property in the Veneto region of northern Italy, today owned by third-generation family-run Casa Vinicola Botter. The flagship wine produced here, is their Rosso Veronese, typically a 60/40 blend of Merlot and Corvina, a grape indigenous to the Veneto. Sometimes described as a “baby Valpolicella,” this is an ideal “everyday” Italian red, medium-bodied, with aromas and flavors of plums and black cherries and a touch of oak aging for notes of vanilla and baking spices.
