A founding member of the e-commerce business Vivino, and their wine curator for eight years, who also spent five years at Rochioli Vineyards in California, Greg Bybee took his knowledge and skills to the Willamette Valley and started making wine. This 2022 was in fact his debut vintage (100 cases made) and won him immediate acclaim. Greg set up his winery right in Portland, but sources grapes from top-ranking sites throughout the valley; this Pinot, for example, is a blend of grapes from the Hollis Vineyard, up in the Chehalem Mountains, and one in the Dundee Hills. This is quintessential Willamette Pinot, elegantly balanced, with fresh red fruit flavors, a silky texture, and vibrant acidity, underscored by a delicate minerality.
