With a history of vine-growing dating back generations, Domeco de Jarauta is based around the town of Aldeanueva de Ebro in Rioja Oriental. The winery itself was built in 2005 , and enthusiastic winemaker Jose Vicente Domeco de Jarauta produces a range of wines from young unoaked Joven through to a Crianza and Reserva. Sancho Baron is the winery’s entry-level offering, 100% Tempranillo, handled in a very traditional style; this is an easy-drinking Rioja with fine-grained tannins and juicy, plummy fruit.
