Although the vineyard was planted in 1932, wine bottled under the Emilio Moro label dates only from 1989. The Latin word "Malleolus" means "Majuelo" in Spanish, a local term used to describe the vineyards in Pesquera de Duero. This is a single-vineyard wine from a vineyard located on the right bank of the Duero river in Pesquera de Duero. The vineyard was planted in 1964, using grafted buds from the oldest vineyards. The wine has an intense, ripe cherry color with violet hues, and the nose is broad and persistent. Fragrant and very feminine white-flower tones enhance the wine’s complexity. Its feel in the mouth is at first silky and velvety, then evolves into a powerful structured feel with highly concentrated, rich tannins leading to a very long aftertaste.
