Bodegas Luzón is one of the main producers and exporters of quality wines in the Jumilla of southeastern Spain, and it is one of the most historic wineries in the region, producing wine since the mid-nineteenth century. The winery was founded by Don Jose de Molina, who had spent his military career in the Philippines (hence “Luzón”). Today the winery is in the hands of the Fuentes family, who honor the Molina family traditions while adapting this historic family business to the challenges of new times. Today Bodegas Luzón manages a total of more than 1,000 acres of vineyards in Jumilla, spread over five different plots, planted to a range of indigenous and international varietals, both red and white. This Blanco is a 50/50 blend of Maccabeo and Sauvignon Blanc; with aromas of green apple tha blend with citric and tropical notes, it is substantial and rich on the palate, with balanced acidity and a persistent finish.
