Buck Summit is a new label of the West Coast Wine Group, a Napa Valley producer that crafts a wide variety of premium wines under different names, including X Winery and Napa Bridge. At present only two reds are offered under that label, a North Coast Cabernet and this Old Vines Zin sourced from Lodi in the Central Valley. From a vintage that offered ideal growing conditions for the Zin vines in the region, this is a full-bodied, well structured red with layers of dark fruit flavors, spicy notes, and a touch of mocha. Balanced acidity and smooth tannins lead to a long, satisfying finish.
