Niko Bura is a Croatian garagiste, with his setup on the ground floor of his house, and he is one of this region’s leaders in quality. The Bura family has been growing grapes and making wine here on the Pejesac peninsula of the southern coast of Dalmatia for five generations. The wine is 100% Plavac Mali, a grape native to Croatia and thought to be closely related to our Zinfandel; it is medium-bodied, fresh and aromatic, with bright fruity aromas and flavors of black currants and cherries.
