Casanova di Neri was founded in 1971 by Giovanni Neri. Located in Montalcino, Italy, the 120-acre estate is divided into four distinct sites: Pietradonice in Castelnuovo dell'Abate, Cetine in S. Angelo in Colle, Cerretalto, and Fiesole. Currently the estate is managed by Giovanni's son Giacomo and consultant Carlo Ferrini, who produce traditional wines that are superior expressions of terroir with good structure and judicious use of oak. This is a polished, modern Brunello that offers layers of dark perfumed fruit intermingled with French oak, spices, minerals, violets and licorice. The textured finish is long, sweet and pure.
