Entrepreneur Walter Ghezzi bought Camigliano in 1957 and quickly moved to convert the estate to the production of high-quality wines. His son Gualtiero has greatly modernized the facilities and expanded the estate to more than 1300 acres, 225 of which are planted to vines. This Rosso is a great introduction to the Camigliano house style: an elegant version of Sangiovese, it is bright and elegant, juicy on the palate, with notable minerality, crisp red berry fruit, and a core of brisk acidity
