Created in 1925, Le Celliers des Princes is the leading cooperative cellar in the Chateauneuf du Pape appellation. Locaated in the town of Courthezon, It today comprises 240 growers who produce not just Chateauneuf but the full range of wines from the southern Rhone Valley. The Blason du Prince is a traditional cuvee, a 90/5/5 blend of Grenache, Syrah and Mourvedre. Done entirely in concrete in order to show the purest expression of the Grenache grape and the terroir, it is complex, elegant, and beautifully balanced, with aromas of red currants and cherries with spicy overtones and silky tannins.
