This family winery is located in Beaumes de Venise, with half of their vineyards in Vacqueyras. The property has been in the Bernard family for five generations, but it was only in 2008 that current owners Philippe and Elizabeth Bernard started producing their own wine. Their 150 acres of vines are planted to a mix of Grenache, Syrah and Mourvede, the vines being 50 years of age on average, and all are farmed organically and biodynamically. Their "Sud Absolu" is a 70/30 blend of Grenache and Syrah; silky-smooth on the palate, it has enticing aromas of spices and stone fruits and a complex range of berry flavors.
