Owned by the Jacques Wallut family, Domaine Saint Amant is composed of twenty different plots of land covering 32 acres, scattered on the southern and eastern flank of Mount Saint Amant, planted to a large number of Rhône varietals. The winemaker is Camille Wallut, who originally studied to be an architect but gradually took over the estate from her father who retired in 1997. Her "La Rouyere" is an elegant Syrah/Grenache blend with a tart and spicy nose, fresh fruit on the palate, and a long, peppery finish.
