Domaine de la Creuze Noire is located in the commune of Leynes, which is right at the crossroads between the two regions of Beaujolais and the Maconnais. Many producers who make white wine in the southern Maconnais also have vineyards in the Beaujolais, and such is the case here. Owner Dominique Martin, who is the fifth generation of winemakers in his family, makes St. Veran and Pouilly-Fuissé from one side of the road and St. Amour and Juliénas from the other. His Macon-Villages has clear notes of white flowers and minerality, with lemony flavors on a round and balanced palate.
